Our dedicated residential care wing at Foxburrow Grange may be the best option if a loved is no longer able to live independently at home because care needs have increased, and for whatever reason you can no longer provide the care needed. In residential care, people are usually more independent and need less support – although they might still need help with things like washing and dressing. Whether it’s rehabilitation from stroke, support following a hip fracture or joint replacement or help to regain mobility and confidence after a fall or surgery, we can help. Our staff, together with visiting health professionals, will work with residents to increase self-reliance and independence.

Foxburrow Grange provides all the comforts you would expect from a care home, but believe that it's the personal touches that make the difference.

In partnership with our residents and their loved ones we create bespoke care plans that build not only a picture of their health and wellbeing needs, but emotional needs, and who they are as an individual. Our residents are free to spend their time how they choose whether taking part in an activity, such as a craft or baking session, or simply relaxing in the garden with a good book.

We empathise with the common concern that when moving into a care home you may feel that you are leaving a previous life behind, however we encourage our residents to retain their independence as far as possible, yet they can be safe in the knowledge that we are there whenever needed.

Our dedicated carers are there around the clock to offer support, providing personal care as well as companionship. Its this close bond that helps create a special environment with our homes. By working closely with other healthcare professionals, we are able to care for any residents who may have underlying health conditions, which enables our residents to remain in the comfort of the home when they might need medical support, rather than going to hospital. The GPs at Abbey Field Medical Centre, opposite Foxburrow Grange, make regular visits to oversee resident care also. Residents of Foxburrow Grange need to be registered as patients with the Centre to receive this care.

Foxburrow Grange has a qualified catering team who prepares a variety of seasonal home-cooked meals, with taste and nutrition at the heart of every dish, and our residents can select from a variety of daily menus.

Should the time come for a resident to need palliative care, we work closely with palliative care specialists and district nurses so that we can continue to care for them in the comfort and privacy of their home, reducing the likelihood they will need to spend their final days in hospital.
